ABOUT ME
Hello!! My name is Jo and I live with my wonderful husband in Holmfirth in the stunning Holme Valley. I believe in the power of the universe, positive thinking and manifestation! I love music - I prefer it live, loud and immersive but I also like the quieter things in life such as gardening, meditation, yoga and journaling.
After leaving my career in social work in 2020 I started on my own journey to rediscover who I was, what I loved doing most in life, which was empowering people to increase their confidence, their self belief, feel seen and valued again. I love to see people change their mindset around their current circumstances or experiences; adopt a 'I can do this' attitude' and follow their journey to change and success.
I followed my gut instinct and I found life coaching was the perfect job for me.
WHAT IS COACHING?
Life coaching is a one-to-one process of self discovery, and takes place in a safe and relaxed space either remotely or face-to-face.
Life coaching helps you learn about yourself, what is important to you in life, what motivates or hinders you from stepping out of your comfort zone. Sometimes these are referred to as 'negative beliefs' or 'fears.' I love the quote by Erin Hanson. "What if I fall? Oh, but my darling, what if you fly?"
Life coaching looks for positives in you life currently, and does not dwell on the past. It helps you to be able to think more clearly about your present and your future, so that you find your own step-by-step pathway to living your best life.
Coaching helps you find your inner strength and confidence by reminding you of your past successes or achievements in life - what has gone well for you, what have you loved doing the most, or simply what makes you happy and fulfilled.

As your life coach I will work alongside you - after all - you know YOU best and the answers to these questions are truly within you.
I am just here to remind you of who you are and how amazing you are, by helping you remember what you have already achieved in life.
I will help you to increase your self confidence, your self belief and your motivation to change as a result of a change in your mindset.
Everyone is different and on their own journey through life, so we go at your pace with weekly, fortnightly or monthly sessions. It's completely up to you!
Through regular coaching sessions, I will empower you you, and using specific questions and tools, challenge your limiting beliefs, or negative thoughts; and be accountable for your actions or inactions. (Imagine I'm asking you if you have done your homework...That. - but without any judgement or demands).

I will work alongside you as your 'champion' to remind you of your past successes, remember what you loved most about earlier roles.
I will help you change your mindset and your motivation so you can create a step by step plan to enable you to reach your dreams or goals.
One-to-one life or career development coaching sessions typically last 60-90 minutes in person at Holme Valley Wellbeing Centre in Holmbridge, just outside of Holmfirth. Online coaching, as with most other, practices is now a convenient way for us to connect (usually via Zoom or Google meet).
Most clients get the results they want with 4 to 8 sessions. However, I am happy to work with you for as long as you want to work with me! We can sometimes identify other goals during our time together, which you may wish to explore further when you are ready.
The ‘Discovery’ session is about getting to know one another a little bit, to see if you would feel comfortable being coached by me. A good rapport and trust are key to a successful coaching relationship.
The one-to-one (remote) ‘Discovery’ session lasting between 30 and 60 minutes, is FREE OF CHARGE.
If we are happy to work with one another and you wish to proceed with the coaching, you can then book a one-to-one coaching session.
Once you have booked your first session I will send you out the Coaching Agreement to be signed and returned to me. This sets out what I expect from you as a client, and what you can expect from me as your coach.
Alongside the Agreement I will send you some exercises and questionnaires for you to complete as part of your preparation for coaching. This will help you start to think about what is important to you, and begin to identify possible goals for you to discuss.
One-to-one Coaching sessions generally last 60-90 minutes and are £70 per session. (Payment is required at the point of booking).
Block bookings can be made for 4 sessions at a time at a discounted rate of £220. (Full payment required at the time of booking the first session).
Any sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will not be refunded.
I run regular offers for block bookings, so ask about this when contacting me.
